Our family is definitely a gaming family. Maybe not by the definition of playing hours upon hours, but we all enjoy a great game and and use video games as family time, especially during the winter. My daughters all enjoy playing on their 3DS game systems, we obviously all love our Mario games and Keegan, Kelly and I all love to play Call of Duty together.
Keegan however loves racing games. He first got into them with the Need For Speed series, which I also love. Recently we got the chance to try out Forza Motorsport 4, and just as I expected, Keegan loved the game.
I went to Walmart this past week to pick up Forza 4 and get a giant bag of M&M’s for Keegan and a group of his friends. They were planning a sleep over on a Friday with some serious video gaming. It was a great time to check out Forza 4 since Forza Motorsport 5 is coming out on November 22nd on Xbox One (which I will do my absolute best to get my hands on!).
So a note about the M&M’s, yes, my family is addicted to them as our go to treat, but there is a better reason to pick them up now. Walmart is currently doing a Buy, Snap, Redeem promotion where if you buy a bag of participating M&M products, snap a picture of your receipt and text it to: 811811, you will get a $10 e-gift card to Walmart. Great way to get a snack and save some $$ on your Forza purchase! Approved products are: (M&Ms Peanut 42oz Stand Up Pouch, M&Ms Milk 42oz Stand Up Pouch, M&Ms Peanut Butter 38oz Stand Up Pouch, M&Ms Pretzel 30oz Stand Up Pouch, M&Ms Peanut 19.2oz Large Laydown Bag, M&Ms Milk 19.2oz Large Laydown Bag, M&Ms Peanut Butter 18.4oz Large Laydown Bag, M&Ms Pretzel 15.4oz Large Laydown Bag.)
For me, video gaming has to be a casual experience since I have 5 kids. Gone are the days where I can dive into epic games that last 40-100 hours (just a note, I did finish Final Fantasy X on the PS2 back in my day!), I need a game I can pick up once a week and play for an hour or so. Forza is exactly that. But, rather than me tell you about the game, I decided to have our in-house video game expert write up his take on Forza 4.
This is the review by Keegan, my 14 year old son. I have not done any editing to his work. All thoughts and opinions are purely awesome 🙂
